Heavy snowfall in the north of France yesterday has caused many flights disruptions and airport closures. In Paris Orly, the flights disruptions caused by snow have lead flights to depart later in order to allow the airport some time to clear the runway. At Beauvais airport many passengers have been stuck at the airport due to heavy traffic around the airport and the disruptions caused by snow. The snow had also caused flights disruptions at London Heathrow and London Gatwick airport, fortunately London Gatwick was able to reopen yesterday afternoon. At the Brussels Airport between 3000 and 4000 persons have been stuck yesterday due to the flights disruptions caused by snow and some flights which have rerouted to other European airports. The heavy snow has also caused flights disruptions at Frankfurt Airport and ended in some 170 flights being cancelled yesterday.
