Air France, the national airline of France and member of the Skyteam alliance will equip its aircrafts operating domestic flights with new flights. Air France new seats have been installed on 31 of the 37 Airbus of Air France flying to domestic destinations. By November this year, all the short haul aircrafts operating domestic flights will be equipped with these new seats. As Air France onboard services, these new seats will offer an additional seat pitch of 2 to 3 inches that is 5 to 7.5 cms and also seat which are more comfortable that can be reclined to 15°. Moreover, these new seats installed on Air France are 40% lighter than the traditional seats enabling Air France to cut down the fuel consumption by 1,700 tons and also the emissions of carbon by 5,200 tons which represents 650 flights between Paris and Marseille. With these new seats, Air France can offer a row of six additional seats on both its Airbus A320 and Airbus A321. Moreover, with Air France seat availability, passengers would have the possibility to have more seats pitch onboard the aircraft.
