Sixteen airlines were added to the Blacklist in April 2011 issued by the European Commission. The airlines added to the Black List in April 2011 include AIR MADAGASCAR Madagascar, Fly540 of the Republic of Angola and Korongo AIRLINES Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). 13 airlines from Mozambique are added to the blacklist in April 2011. These companies are: MOZAMBIQUE AIRLINES-Linhas Aereas de Mocambique, MOZAMBIQUE EXPRESS / MEX, TRANS AIRWAYS / AIRLINES KAYA, HELICOPTEROS CAPITAL, CFA MOZAMBIQUE, UNIQUE AIR CHARTER OF MOZAMBIQUE AEROVISAO, SAFARI AIR CHARTER AIR ETA LDA, EMILIO AIR CHARTER LDA TTA CFM-SA-EAR AND RV LLC SERVICOS CROPSPRAYERS LDA reminder, this is the 17th edition of the Blacklist updated by the European Commission. The 16th edition of the Black List was issued in November 2010.

The blacklist of airlines has just been updated by the European Commission since 19 April 2011. European Commission has just released this new Black List of airlines issued in April 2011. In this 17th edition of the Black List of airlines we note the addition of all carriers from Mozambique as well as any new airlines established in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Airlines Blue Wing Airlines of Surinam Airways and Meridian in Ghana is still on the list. The list includes also ten airlines authorized to operate in the EU while being subjected to stringent operating restrictions and conditions: Air Astana of Kazakhstan, already mentioned; Air Koryo Democratic People\'s Republic of Korea; Airlift International, Ghana; Air Service Comores, Afrijet, Gabon Airlines and SN2AG Gabon; Iran Air, TAAG Angolan Airlines. Air Madagascar when it is subject to operational restrictions and will not conduct flights in European airspace aboard the two aircraft of type Boeing 767.

Heavy snowfall in the north of France yesterday has caused many flights disruptions and airport closures. In Paris Orly, the flights disruptions caused by snow have lead flights to depart later in order to allow the airport some time to clear the runway. At Beauvais airport many passengers have been stuck at the airport due to heavy traffic around the airport and the disruptions caused by snow. The snow had also caused flights disruptions at London Heathrow and London Gatwick airport, fortunately London Gatwick was able to reopen yesterday afternoon. At the Brussels Airport between 3000 and 4000 persons have been stuck yesterday due to the flights disruptions caused by snow and some flights which have rerouted to other European airports. The heavy snow has also caused flights disruptions at Frankfurt Airport and ended in some 170 flights being cancelled yesterday.
